lyrics
Dead Inside
locked in a hole
darkness around
paralyzed, no control
I am each and every sound
thoughts like a rope
that break my eyes
cannot breathe, cannot cope
with this vortex of loss still alive
dead inside, a dying shell
a life in denial, this living hell
dead inside, my dying world
there’s no way out, of this living hell
total collapse
life’s falling down
lost control of what makes me
lost my kingdom and my crown
entangled in grief
deprived of a sense
there is peace in indifference
peace like poison to life
suffocating on my thoughts, my inner self is killing me
total loss of harmony, I‘m on the edge of sanity
heading for disaster, I’m exhausted to the core
will to live is fading, cannot take this anymore
dead inside, a dying shell
a life in denial, this living hell
dead inside, my tired self
all efforts seem futile, in this living hell
dead inside, my dying world
where’s my way out, of this living hell?
this living hell

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
Favorite Track(s): Die Feuertaufe, Grabenlieder edoerfler
German power metal, with hints of thrash and a high-pitched vocal reminiscent of the traditional new wave. I really enjoy these fast-paced melodic neck-wrecking punkish classics. Brings me back to my youth's first steps in metal with W.A.S.P. and similar... sachavonkarl74
Man, what a unique death metal experience. There is something old school and familiar about this album but the performance is done in a way I’ve never heard before. If you’re looking for something different, you’ve definitely found it here. 9/10 RJ
Blistering blackened death metal with haunting melody lines throughout. The melody never overcomes but rather gives hypnotizing testimony to the churning rhythms threatening to pull the listener below the waves. This is music by which to summon the Great Old Ones. Robert Royer
